Calcined and sintered diatomaceous earth is used according to its permeability and its category in the filtration and clarification of liquids such as:
These soils in their natural, non-calcined form are also used as a natural mechanical insecticide.
Perlite is a vitreous rock of volcanic origin composed mainly of silica and is also a filtration earth.
Physically, thermally treated and expanded, it is used according to its permeability for the filtration of all liquids, musts, aromas, oil dewaxing, wastewater treatment and in hydroponics (agriculture).
